The "SHADEWAY 2000" Shade Unit

"Shadeway 2000" is a very popular rink-by-rink, retractable, continuous Shade System that has been professionally designed specifically for Bowling Clubs and incorporates all the features required to make it the most versatile and user-friendly sunshade available

The Shadeway 2000 is very affordable and extremely versatile.

A standard shade consists of seven sections of 4.7m (one for each rink). Each section can be extended, tensioned and retracted individually. When all sections of a standard shade are extended they form a continuous run down the bank for approximately 33m.

We can custom make a Shadeway 2000 to suit any Club environment by shortening or lengthening the shade according to application and we can also vary the amount of rinks, anywhere from 1 rink to 14 rinks or more. The shade is 185cm (6ft) wide.

Each rink or section of fabric is tensioned by a sprocket and latch mechanism to ensure the shade looks good and functions well. The fabric is fixed to the stainless wire cables by runners on each side for easy operation of the shade. As the shades can withstand strong winds they do not need to be retracted each night, however little effort is required to extend or retract the canopy as it simply slides along cables, all this can easily be managed by one person in less then 2 minutes.

When retracted the canopy will concertina up to one end and a bar at the end of the fabric is then placed into storage hooks, forming a cradle that secures all the fabric neatly and above head height. Our fabric is a tough and durable dense weave, knitted shade cloth offering 10 year warranty against UV degradation. Highly resistant to mould & mildew and does not fray or tear easily.

All framework is manufactured from galvanised steel, which is powder coated for an attractive finish and long life. Many of the components are made from stainless steel and polycarbonate. All bolts and nuts are supplied and manufactured from stainless steel. Stainless welding wire is used to guarantee against rusting joins.

Shades can be adjusted to be offset which allows the shade canopy to be positioned where needed and enables posts to be set more in line with the seats.

Two versions of this unit are available:
1. For in ground installation with posts set in concrete.
2. For fixing to concrete pathways. Posts are supplied with powder coated stainless steel base plates
    attached which are pre-drilled ready to bolt down.

Stainless sheath Dynabolts are supplied free of charge � Full stainless Dynabolts are available at cost if required due to close proximity to the sea.
